Mark Bell

Dr. Mark Andrew Bell is an international agricultural research and extension specialist focused on helping farmers get the information they need, when they need it, in a form they can readily use. With more than 30 years of experience across 40+ countries, he has worked from field-level problem solving to strengthening national research and extension systems. He has held leadership roles with UC Davis, UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, IRRI, and CIMMYT, and helped develop the globally recognized Rice Knowledge Bank and other practical tools that translate research into farmer impact. Dr. Bell helped guide Agrifoods 5 during its initial alliance kickoff and will support its next phase.
